The
magazine ran from the 20's to the late 30's's. It went through many different
formats during that time. All the various formats are represented on this site.
The most famous image, a cover that you will see in many other Film Memorabilia
web sites is the Charlie Chapin from March 1936. The magazine covers are
also noted for their various images of Shirley Temple.
In
1939 the magazine merged with another magazine called PictureShow. PictureShow
continued until 1960. It can be seen at www.pictureshowmagazine.com
This
collection classic film magazine sites was started as a hobby in 2001. After publication of the first site the
e-mails from film fans started to flood in. After so many requests we decided to
develop the site into a resource for film fans. The posters and the CD have been
developed as a result of requests from site visitors.
